In all of the fanfics I’ve read about Remus, one thing that’s never mentioned is his bite mark. Like they always describe his self inflicted wounds from his transformations and how he hates them cause it reminds his of what he is, but never the one that started it all. If feel that’s something worth mentioning, you know.

He’s always this character with a tragic past, and we see that whenever they describe him as self loathing because of his condition. I feel like adding this one instance of him looking at the scar that greyback left behind would completely shatter the reader’s heart.

Can you imagine little Remus changing into a set of clothes and just pausing when he catches a glance at the scar. Or when he finally trusts the boys enough to where he feels comfortable changing in front of them and they see it. What if they ask about where it came from and rem can’t handle it?

What about when he realized that people would see him as a monster even though they don’t know him. The scar where greyback bit him or scratched him will forever be a reminder of that. He is forced into this lonely life because of people’s prejudice, which then also reflects onto his own self worth.
