Welcome to my profile! My friends call me Pau or Pauie. My dad calls me Paul -- I was named after him. My mom calls me honey -- no you can NOT call me that, and strangers call me Pauline -- that name, I allow to come out of your mouth when talking to me. A little sumthin-sumthin about me: I love reading and eating. My favorite book at the moment is; A Night Huntress Novel by Jeaniene Frost, but in a close second -- Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. While reading, you can almost always see me stuffing my face with food. Ha! Onion Rings/funyuns are yummy! I love reading, so naturally, I should try writing right? THAT is the reason why Im here. I hope you guys can support whatever I write. Help me improve so that one day, I can do my favorite thing all the time -- reading and writing, not eating, although that would be good too. I will put a shout out everytime somebody fans! Just a little thanks. <------- This doesn't mean you should fan if you don't like my writing. It just means I really do appreciate it. :) Books that I recommend reading: VAMPIRE ACADEMY SERIES by Richelle Mead A NIGHT HUNTRESS SERIES by Jeaniene Frost THE HUNGER GAMES SERIES by Suzanne Collins THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS by Cassandra Clare THE MEDIATOR SERIES by Meg Cabot THE KEY OF LIGHT SERIES by Nora Roberts THE LAND OF ELYON by Patric Carman Apparently, Im a fan of reading Series'. Those are some of my favorites. Esp. the last one. :) TH

I enjoyed the first chapter in your book Superstition. But i don't know how i feel about the protagonist?? If i woke up with a stranger in a bed that didn't belong to me, i would've been terrified, and angry, and asking questions. She seemed to relax to have had that happen to her. But i liked the rest. I hope i read more!

@me_pauie_soloflyt How about making your world a lower tech version of earth? So they could be concerned about school and how they look, but wouldn't have computers or cell phones. If they have magical abilities, they probably wouldn't bother inventing those things in the first place. Who needs an iPhone if you can think directly to your friends? The image that Note conjures up for me is a scribble on a torn piece of paper. And when you say Light, I think light bulb. Your story starts when something happens that rocks your main character's world. It has to be something that makes her change, either her actions or her personality, and struggle to overcome whatever has happened. And it has to be something big enough to make the reader worry about her, and keep turning the pages to find out if she can manage it. Right now, you've got a very pleasant heroine, and an interesting world, but I'm not worried about anyone in it, so I'll go on to the next story. Rock that world, and I'll keep reading.
@Ctyolene thanks for the criticism. :) I was trying to make the world a sort of combination of now, with all the current things like,t.v., fashion, and the same plants and animals, but at the same time, it has different rules magically. Whats wrong with the guys names? haha! I thought it fit because Note is a musician and Light is a jock. ( Ill be including that when The Games start.) Good point! About the abilities thing. I thought of that , but I guess I forgot to eleborate. I don't know what to do about the trouble thing your talking about because the problem is going to be a surprise. The main character doesn't even know about it yet. Ill be getting to it in the next few chapters . Oh also theres going to be another problem sort of in the middle too. Haiiisss... i didn't think writting my ideas down would be so hard. Anyway! Thank you so much for the criticism ..! I'll work on it. <3
After reading the first chapter, I'm confused. Am I in a magical world where people are born of a mystical deity and have amazing power, or am I at a Californian school where the kids have cell phones and obsess over who is wearing what? I think you need to pick one and stick with it. Personally, I'd go for the mystical world, I don't really care what colour dress people wear. Did I pick it up correctly - the annoying boy is called Light? And the other one is called Note? Why? I love the idea of this world, but I think you need to think it all the way through. For instance, if some people are telepathetic, how can you conduct a fair school exam? And how do you ensure that pupils with the ability to exert their will don't just make the teachers give them every class off? If the nurse can heal, why does she need an icepack? Every time I'm getting into the whole alternate world, I get pulled back by American school habits and preoccupations. I have a real problem with the next Ancient One wearing a "Kiss the cook" apron and making pancakes. In a fight scene, keep the sentences and paragraphs short and terse. I'm still waiting for the real story to begin. So far, your heroine is just drifting along, going to school and doing ordinary stuff. Nothing has happened to upset her and make her decide to take action. When is the trouble going to start?
