Breaking Rules since 2002

About me - that's why you're here, wondering why I should read my books. Maybe the best answer is to tell you my story.

I have always been perhaps unhealthily devoted to books. I remember staying up late, chancing my parents' fury that I was still up at 2 am when I was seven or eight. By the time I got into my teens, I wrote hundreds of pages in journals and other types of entries. But, was I writer? Of course not! There was no way someone like me could write. Writers were these mysterious creatures who could produce magic well out of reach of a mere mortal like me. Instead, I'd spend hours making up storylines in my head. Sometimes they'd make their way to the page, only to be destroyed. After all, I wasn't a writer.

Then one day I was trying to explain something and was struggling to do it in a way that worked for me. So I wrote a short story. And I shared it. And they loved it. To be completely honest, I shared it with a couple of four-year-olds, but, I feel like their taste in stories was very distinguished!) By this time, I needed to do it again. And again. Then I wrote a longer story. Then writing became my world. That's where Wattpad came into place. I had all these stories and no one to share them with (My four-year-old audience would only listen for so long LOL, plus as the stories expanded in my brain, so did the story content).

From there I started sharing these stories on Wattpad. I got featured. Then I was able to get a book deal. Published. Then was able to use that to get a job for a game developer. Now, my title is Director of Creative Strategies and I manage the content for a popular story app.

The stories on Wattpad are still the stories that I started my career on only a few years ago. They mean a lot to me. They are my foundation. Wattpad was my foundation.
