Where to begin but the beginning: Born in Bismarck, North Dakota, but destined to become myself in New York, I've been writing since I was wee and am still proud of my grade-school biography of Marilyn Monroe. I'm on Wattpad because I've completed 85 percent of what one *could* call a post-9/11 literary novel with genre fiction guts, The Nowhere in the Middle. I think it could connect intimately with anyone who is a self-identifying punk rock fan or a general music sicko, or anyone who feels terribly lost.

Long story short, I've struggled for years to end it properly, without irritating, pompous, meaningless suddenness or, on the other end, too much drama. I want audience input, especially if you are a sucker for ecstatic and yet decisive endings (perhaps you've admired Aussie transplant Steven Amsterdam's oeuvre like me). If you're looking to plumb romantic feelings, there are more than a few glimmers of all shades of love in my book. But, really, this is a how-to-grow-the-f*ck-up story, with and without heroes. Music means everything and nothing.

I appreciate your time and attention in this little experiment, as I know I'm not your typical Wattpad author. But I am funny and left of center. And I love Joe Strummer, to whom this novel is dedicated.
