Amazing supply of books!
I am so grateful i found Gutenberg! :)
Holy. Crap. Thank you so much :)
Well, there are an 18000 or so books that im being unable to log on to, and its either due to the awesome internet connection in my country or its something in here that is not working right. Either ways im getting pretty frustrated since there are some greatly valuable books in here, so yeah.
There seems to be a need for a note in here so I shall supply one. Project Gutenberg is one of the most venerable websites ever to grace the Internet, started way back in the day when simple text was pretty much all that could be sent. It literally was one of the first websites. Ever. It's volunteers pledged their time to type in by hand the text of books either they found appropriate and got permission for, or books that those who ran Project Gutenberg asked people to please volunteer typing in for the good of the public. There is a prerequisite for what constitutes 'the public domain,' and that is the expiration of copyright. An item's copyright only lasts 99 years, after which it enters what is called 'the public domain.' So, as of today, anything written and copyrighted prior to March of 1914 belongs to the public domain. That means that anyone can copy it, publish it and print it, so long as the don't plagiarize it, as that they state and realize that the story now belongs forever to any and all of us the world over. Back in the eighties, I did a little work for Project Gutenberg. I can't remember what it was I typed in, (probably some dry farmer's agricultural manual) as I only did a chapter or two during an afternoon. You would download a .pdf file from them, or something, and then re-enter it as ASCII. But how about that? Project Gutenberg on Wattpad! So, now you know! Happy Writing!
Is Frank Herbert's 'Dune' a part of this amazing collection?
@KomalSharma Project Gutenberg would never publish 50 Shades. Their purpose is to publish works that are in public domain. Sorry
you have upload so many stories that i'm still waiting for them to show theirselfs to me... 1,2,3 4........ 156678,156679,156680...... 35677799632213568890............... still waiting!!!!!!!!
I'm so tired of downloading ebook readers on Play Store and end up knowing how much of a letdown they all are because of their inhumane features the naked eye understand not, and in comparison to Wattpad's features, they surely have a long way to go. I am so happy and thankful for your partnership that I can read my favourite classics on my favourite app. More power!
