Someone asked me "what are your dreams?"

I have a few, but here's one of the obvious:

I want to be an author. I want people begging for my next book to come out, counting down the days 'til my next book release or book tour. I want to leave people breathless after they finish that last page, clutching the book to their chest as they ask themselves, "now what?" I want to create worlds people can escape into whenever they're having a bad day. I want to create something people will love.

"I hadn't expected her to die. Sure, my grandma had some health issues, as most women in their early seventies did. But to die in her sleep, just like that? We talked on the phone less than three days ago...she told me she was going to the doctor's to get checked out for the flu, but I'd thought nothing of it. I almost offered to go to New York to be with her, but I knew Grandma would insist that I stay in school. She wouldn't want me to fall back on my studies."
