Born in Southern California, Frank Montellano has worked (in no particular order) as a movie projectionist, media specialist, sailor, aircraft electrician, teacher, security guard, KMart employee, vice-principal, and traveling stuffed animal salesman. As of later this year, he has published two short stories.

He possesses sea stories aplenty, having retired as a chief after 24 years in the U.S. Navy. He's been around the world and crossed the equator (on land and sea) several times during his naval career, serving two tours on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. He also served a tour as part of NATO forces in Afghanistan, as well as being deployed to various spots in Africa, Germany, Italy, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Spain, and the Middle East.

He has a bachelor's and master's degree, both in education. He loves to enrich young minds and has taught everything from 4-12 grade in California and Louisiana classrooms for over 15 years. His first day teaching in a classroom was on 9/11, although he did not take that as a sign of things to come.

He is married, living in Louisiana with his amazing wife, and has two sons and two daughters who fill him with pride and joy every single day. His hobbies include photography, writing, reading comic books and graphic novels, and eating his wife's cooking. His favorite authors include Roger Zelazny and Neil Gaiman. More information, stories, and photos can be found online on Facebook, DeviantArt and here at Wattpad.
