I'm originally from Germany, but I moved to South Africa when I was nine, so in time, my English skills became better than my German. I've now been back in Germany for over two years and am attending school here, but I don't know how long I will be staying.
As my username suggests, I love animals, especially animal psychology and training, but I also find human psychology quite interesting. However, just because I like animals in real life, that doesn't mean I only read animal stories. In fact, I actually hate most animal stories because they tend to be either badly written, boring, or anthropomorphise animals (in which case, I might as well read something about humans). In the worst case case scenario, animal stories manage to do all three.
When I was younger, I used to enjoy reading Warriors, but now that I'm older, I find it rather annoying (for above reasons).

I also really like anime. My absolute favorite character is Claire Stanfield/Vino/Rail Tracer/Felix Walken (and I love that he has so many names!) from Baccano!
I'm not so much a fan of anime movies, but my favorite anime series are:
Shinsekai Yori (I rewatched the last episode about 8 times)
Baccano! (I'm reading the light novels too)
Katanagatari
Kimi to Boku (it was boring in an epic way, but only until the second season ruined it, by introducing a "plot")
Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
Tsuritama

I can't really say what my favorite genre is, I'll pretty much read/watch anything as long as the characters/story/atmosphere manage to draw me in. The only thing I'm allergic to is romance overdose, regardless of the characters' genders. This is not to say that I hate anything with romance in it (if I did, I would have a hard time finding anything readable), but rather that I don't like stories that are centered around it. However this could be because I've never seen a good love story, so if I do eventually come across one, my opinion could still change.
