The past year I've been painfully absent on Wattpad. What with my last year of school, work, and a bunch of health issues, I barely had any time to do anything "fun." This year I can make no promises, but I do want to make some progress with my preexisting stories. That means that books like Flesh of Darkness, Choices, and my other various works on here will probably be updated as often as I can. I might even republish "Loud as the Night," all bright, shiny, and rewritten! That being said, I've just started the official rewrite for Maddening and its series, so that'll consume a lot of my time.

@alittlebitbonkers Makes perfect sense to me. Any social media, even one this writing/book focused, is a drain on my mental health too. I think you made a really good decision there. It’s definitely a habit that can take over if you let it. And it’s great that you’ve made that much progress with your writing this past year!! You should be proud of yourself on that one! Psyched to read your offline projects. I hope the cutback on WP boosts your mental health & happiness. <3

@threematches Thank you for your support. I think that like most things in general, Wattpading is a habit. A habit that I don't always regret not doing daily. I used to be on here for six-plus hours a day and wouldn't always make that much writing progress because I'd get distracted reading. Not that that's a bad thing, but I've gotten so much better in the last year. I really am hoping to spend some time regularly working on my stories on here, but just not the same extent. I have a couple original offline projects that I'll probably publish on here when I'm done, and I have a lot of books that I want to read on here, but that could be awhile. I don't plan on ditching Wattpad completely, but I think that it's not going to be such a major point of my day like before. It was a bit of a drain on my mental health before, despite my love for it. I hope that makes sense.

After much deliberating amongst the voices in my head, I'm unpublishing Maddening and Nightmare Hours. Their plots don't align and, until they've been thoroughly rewritten, I don't feel okay with Maddening's ending being "out there." It just doesn't work with the rest of the series and might confuse future readers. I'll keep Maddening up for another month max, but after that, it'll be gone. Sorry if you were in the middle of reading Nightmare Hours!
