I live in a strange land of Dzhokhar-reminders. Every workday afternoon as I exit the subway station on my way to work, I glance down the street to where Dzhokhar and Tamerlan stood at the marathon. Then I walk past the memorial, to my office. Every workday evening during the cab ride home from work, I pass by the infamous Shell station in Cambridge. Having dinner at the S&S cafeteria, I'm in the heart of his neighborhood. And I pass his high school as I walk to the drugstore. Seeing these places so often, I gradually formed the idea for my story.
