I just released a short story called Highway 16. I wrote the story for an assignment in university and I've been looking for it forever.
It's a story that I treasure close to my heart and I hope you check it out! #MMIW

I FINISHED WRITING MY BOOK! Yesterday was my goal to complete my novel, and I succeeded!
I definitely have A LOT of revision to do, but I'll be posting the first draft up here every Monday regardless.

As a celebration of Indigenous People's Day, I decided to release another chapter before Monday. You will still get another chapter of Hear Her Song on Monday, too!
As an Indigenous author, and having an Indigenous main character, I thought it was a great way to celebrate being Indigenous!

(Also, I finished writing another chapter. My book is almost complete!)

Another chapter completed! For those that don't know, I lost my dad on October 12, 2020. It was very sudden and he was my best friend. My dad was someone who believed in my non-stop. He encouraged me to read and write, but I stopped doing both years ago. I had no drive to.
When he died, a part of me died too. He was my favourite person in the whole world. He was constantly reading - often having up to 5 books open at one time.

I got back into reading in January 2021. I got back into writing in March 2021 when I first started Hear Her Song.
As a celebration of life gift for my dad, the man who inspired me, I am going to try and finish writing my book before or on his death date.

He is an integral part of my story with Sheriff Busby being named after him and Tom taking on some of his qualities (the better parts).

I hope you can stick around and follow my journey. I love my book and I hope you do too!

@addictivestorm I'm so sorry for your dad.
I almost lost mine October last year due to covid+other infections; I spent 38 days with him at the hospital.
I'm can not even imagine the pain you went through.
Be strong, never give up, and make your dad smile.

I'm thinking of adding my enhanced (non-kpop) version of "A Wolf's Cry". There are quite a few changes. First, it's name changed to "A Wolf's Call". Second, again, it's not a fanfic, but my own original story with original characters. Third, the plot changed along with the storyline, relationships, and some of my characters.
Should I add it? I'm not sure if I'll ever get past three chapters, though. It's an assignment for my Creative Writing: Novel class and we only have time to write the first three chapters. If I get enough demand (if I even upload it), I may continue. I really like where it's going.
