XelaJR_57 or Alejandro V. Donato Jr. was born in Alcala, Pangasinan on May 30, 1957. He finished his elementary education at South Central School in 1969. From 1969 to 1973, he studied at Cipriano P. Primicias Memorial High School, now Cipriano Primicias National High School. He studied at Pangasinan State University, College of Arts and Sciences where he took up Bachelor of Arts major in English and minor in Economics.
He taught in the high school department of Lyceum Northwestern, Dagupan City from 1987 to 1988. Then from 1988 to 2007, he taught at San Pedro Apartado National High School, where he handled English and Mathematics subjects.
At present he and his family are residing in Pugaro, Manaoag, Pangasinan.
