Joe Powell

Through our lives we make choices that will steer us to our final destination.  I am proud to say I am happy with the choices I have made thus far.  I am the proud father of two wonderful children and husband to a wonderful wife.  I work as a department manager at an ethanol plant in Eastern Oregon.  I love the outdoors in all its magnificent glory via hunting, fishing, camping, or riding my VStrom.  

I started writing out of intense boredom while working in a grain elevator shortly out of high school.  I have since completed many poems and short stories along with a 40k word novella, Prophetic Dreams. I am also 2/3 the way through my next book, The Haven Group.  Both of these are being slowly added to this site. 

My love for writing has grown over the years, but I have never sought to truly publish anything.  I have a select group of readers on a mail list that have enjoyed reading my stuff over the years, but that is as close to an actual reader base as I have come.

I hope that by joining this site I may be able to remedy this situation.  Thank you for reading.
