StopEmotionalAbuse

Hello!

So, I finally designed a sticker I am satisfied with for this campaign. I'll be posting it and the link in the "about me" section here soon. You may also have noticed that the book is taken down. This will be reposted soon after being organized and a new cover added.

          	Thanks!

It’s been a LONG time, but I’m back! This is the original creator of this account here. I see we have new followers, so I’m just wondering if anyone still cares about this campaign? I’d like to pick it back into gear for 2019, but only if it’s still something people care about. I thought about bringing in a couple team members?

I’ll explain why I’ve been gone TWO YEARS later.

@StopEmotionalAbuse I definitely do. I think it is really important to make people aware that emotional abuse which most of the time done verbally exist and that it is extrem harmful.

Sadly I myself have a lot of experience with that.

@StopEmotionalAbuse I care about this project, no matter how much the combination of being crazy busy and social anxiety sometimes stops me from replying to posts anywhere. As a victim of emotional abuse by an ex-boyfriend, the return of this profile and the things it can help with really makes me smile. And hey, New Year's Eve? Brilliant timing! A new year with raised awareness is the best thing anyone could wish for <3

Emotional abuse is a very real thing.

People may not believe it is, since it doesn't effect them. Physical abuse is more common because no one ever talks about their parents calling them stupid for no reason. Believe me, emotional abuse is real. I am a victim.
Little comments go a long way. When someone calls you a "dummy" that's one thing, but when it becomes a natural instinct to flinch at a loud voice, and submit to someone constantly destroying your self image, there is a problem.
I have a severe problem when people do things such as close a door too hard or close their eyes and sigh. "Have you ever heard of apologizing?" Is something my dad yelled at me once and I've been apologizing for existing ever since.

Emotional abuse is real, and it needs to stop.
