          	Unfortunately, that means that it will not appear here at all. This is not a call for any followers here to buy the book. I'm just super proud and excited and needed to tell someone!             KoI is rebranded as Wielders of Woe now and it's going great! It's headed for the final round of editing in January and I hope to have it published by May-June 2023 on Amazon! Super stoked about how its turning out! I've had a few beta readers and a developmental edit but more eyes are always a plus. I intend to find some ARC readers too before it gets published too

Heyo everybody!
          
          It's been a while so where do I start? 
          
          I joined Wattpad when I was in high school... nearly 7 years ago. It helped me write and write more even when I didn't want to or thought I couldn't. I loved it then but things change.
          
          Basically, I have decided wattpad isn't the best place to tell the story I want to tell and have it have any chance at being successful. I've been writing and editing KOI for over two years now to try and make it the best it could be and I feel.its nearing that benchmark.
          
          Professional editing starts in February for my book which is a big step. Once editing is finished and I have all my ducks in a row I will be uploading my work to Amazon. I'm saying this for any fans or people who want to see the editing changes and the final outcome of the book and the setup for the series as a whole. 
          
          Let me be clear. This is not me begging anyone to go and buy it on Amazon once its uploaded. This is just me filling in gaps and letting people know of what I intend to do. 
          
          However, I'll still keep the initial chapter here. And my profile will be checking in on the books of my friends' that I've made here too. I want to see them be successful so I'll do my best to keep up with your works.
          
          Thanks for all the support you've showed me over the years! It really does help authors out!

          Sorry for the ghost mode lately but I've been focusing super hard on finishing KOI. Only 6 more chapters to go and then some editing.

          Sorry for no updates last couple of days. Been busy writing and not updating on here. 
          
          But on another note I had some character art commissioned and oh my god they look amazing! Hal, Lyra, and soon Miri all brought to life! I couldn't be any more excited. 
          
          If anyone wants to know the artist let me know. She has done phenomenal work!
          
          Anyways that's my little update for the day.

          So this is kind of a serious announcement. With all the plagiarism going on in wattpad I fear for the safety of my IP. Therefore I am looking to other alternatives to showcase my novel and writing. 
          
          Sooo... how would you feel if I started a patreon page to support my writing? Let me know your thoughts and concerns. 
          
          The thought of someone stealing my work is just haunting. I know many others are turning away from wattpad too.

@SpaceAdventurer_11 I am not sure if any site is safe from copying the works and setting them on a fake mirror site somewhere in Asia - which most of the cases seem to be.
            
            They create a site trying to make money through ads or whatever, and simply copy the content from another site, using tools that bypass the protection against copying in Wattpad.
            
            They seem totally ignorant and indifferent concerning the content that was copied.
            
            Physical books are safer these days, though they are easily pirate printed too and sold in third world book markets. But given how hard it is to sell actual, genuine books, I wonder how much any thief can actually make with that. It's much easier to copy famous, bestseller content (movies, music, bestselling novels) and take the money through copyright fraud. And when you're located in China or India or Vietnam, Western law enforcement has it very hard to counter what you're doing.

@Sanch250 I get that. I just want to prevent that as much as possible. I might keep just a few chapters on here and spread around just so people can get a taste. That way at least most of the story is protected and if people want to know more than they're certainly welcomed too. Its a catch 22 in all honesty.

@SpaceAdventurer_11 I mean I also use Inkitt, Penana, and Archive of our own.
            There’s no reason that they’d be any safer for any other reason than they’re less popular than wattpad.
            It’s still a possibility that it could be stolen that there too, But less likely than on here.
            I mean, until we get proper publishing deals, everything writers put out on online could be stolen. That’s just the risk we take on sites like this.
