Oddly enough, I'd rather people think less of me, and instead think of what the work itself says. There's nothing so spectacular for me to elucidate here that it might somehow improve the quality of the story, only to skew people's preconceptions of it. I'd rather let it ride, let readers have their speculations, and judge the story as it is.

If it becomes necessary for me to disclose greater details, I will, and if people find my lack of transparency off putting, there's little I can do to alleviate that. But as I believe Abraham Lincoln is attributed as saying, "You can please some of the people all the time, and all the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time." I'm sorry if anyone feels excluded, it's just the truth I believe in.
