I am a nearly 50 year old chef/mother earthiest lady dada. i began my 36 year love of food while apprenticing for a woman called Julia Child, my parents dropped me about her place around 10 am in the morning and return for me in the later part of the afternoon. For my mom and dad it was a brilliant way to occupy their overly active 14 year old who wanted to shop and try different recipes. For Julia I was someone to measure ingredients, set them on a tray and follow directions that would be part of her next cookbook. She loaned me out for more experience to Barbara Tropp, Flo Braker, Alice Waters and other amazing women. I was lucky, I have done and continue to do what I love only now, I am going to write about it in short stories, like a good recipe. Full with lots of ingredients, spices, vinegars, lots of heat, sharp knives and tempers. I do hope you enjoy the first in my series "Don't Fire The Salsa Maker." Thanks for reading. Bon Apetit
