Been writing since I was a child. Tell you how long it's been, hafta killya.
Writing has always been my first love, but I benefitted tremendously from
decades as a speech and language pathologist specializing in aphasia
due to brain injury or stroke and developmental disabilities. Working
with students with autism enabled me to write a biography special
ed publisher Diverse City Press published, but I primarily write fiction
and poetry. Recent credits include a co-authored poetry book Old
Mountain Press published, and short nonfiction in Persimmon and a Thin
Line anthology. I probably have 500 print and internet credits, but then I am,
as my mother enjoyed shouting, "one year younger'n God!"

I belong to NC Poetry Society, Creative Thinkers International, Friday
Noon Poets, the domestic violence targeting organization, Angels That Care,
and a tiny critique group, Carrboro Poetica. My husband (a former architect and regional
planner and ace woodworker) and I are blessed with four beautiful granddaughers
and four g r e a t grandchildren. I hope to write 'til I drop.
