My debut novel, The Last Winter of Dani Lancing, was recently published in the US and UK. In the dim and distant past, I have been an award-winning filmaker and playwright. I have both studied film and worked in the United States, New Zealand, Russia and my native UK. Between 1999 and 2010, I created (with my sister) the range of best-selling audio-books for Shakespeare and the classics: The SmartPass Guides and Shakespeare Appreciated. The financial crisis put an end to that business - which turned out to be a blessing and allowed me to go back to writing full time.
I live in Brighton, UK with my American wife (the academic linguist, blogger and language commentator Lynne Murphy) and my five year old daughter.
The Last Winter of Dani Lancing was my first murder. The novella I will share on WattPad, The Sad Man, is my second. I will kill again.
