Nichola Scurry

I was born in England and grew up in Melbourne, Australia. I majored in English Literature at Monash University and have been writing stories since childhood.

I've lived in London and Barcelona, but Melbourne is my current home. My first novel, With the Music, is a coming of age story about a girl who loves post-punk music and grows up in the 1980s and 1990s in Australia. Lately I've been enjoying writing Young Adult fiction with a twist of political thriller.

Another passion of mine is the post-punk and indie music scene. I'm an occasional announcer on PBS 106.7 FM (a Melbourne community radio station) where you can hear me playing post-punk and Australian music.
