Now getting to know God is the goal because when you know God, it makes it easier to live out His plan for your life. But there is a challenge - yeah, you probably knew that was coming...here's the deal, God is perfect and lives in heaven. And we have become separated from Him, not because He's in heaven and we're on Earth, but we're separated because of sin. Sin is when you do wrong things or make bad choices; choices that are different than what God would want you to do.

When you carry a Bible, the devil gets a headache. When you open it, he collapses. When he sees you reading it, he faints. When he sees you living it, he flees. And just when you're about to re-post this, he will try and discourage you. We just defeated him.

The Bible is like a lamp because it's able to light our way in darkness-to show us the right path for our lives.
