My non-fiction book, "How to Prepare Your Young Child for Success in School," is free on Smashwords. It's short and simple, but there may be a few surprises--like the possible link between excessive TV watching and autism, and a key to delaying symptoms of Alzheimer's.

But I love stories, too! When our children were little I was the story lady during the morning church service, and I have a weekly storytime with the kindergarteners at my grandson's out of school care centre. And I taught English as a Second Language to adults for years with stories as a mainstay.

When our full-time ESL program closed, a new door opened into the community of Scissortown and other places in Storyland . . . the worlds I'm exploring with my grandchildren, Tommy and Tina.

"Scissortown," my first ever picture book for children, is available in two versions (faith-based or secular inside back cover), in both paperback and enhanced e-book formats.

All formats are available on my website, grandmasbookshelf.net
