Marianna Figueiredo

Hi everyone.  So, for those of you who know me, I started this account in ninth grade.  I'm in university now.  I am at University of Toronto studying criminology.  However, I'm an aspiring author.  The past few years have been busy, so I stopped writing for a bit.  I'm back now though, and super excited to share new pieces that I've been working on for a while.

For anyone who doesn't know me, hello, and welcome to my Wattpad page. My name is Marianna Figueiredo.  I'm an 18 year old girl with a passion for people and creating social change, especially . through law and literature.  I love dystopian novels.  Harry Potter is my favourite series.  However, I choose to write from a more realistic perspective.  To me, writing is a gift.  It allows us to express ourselves, our opinions and experiences in a way not quite like any other.  My experiences as a physically disabled teen activist from a divorced family have undoubtedly shaped who I am today.  To most of you, I may seem exceptionally difficult to relate to.  Though hopefully you'll come to see that beneath my extraordinary circumstances, I'm just like you - and maybe you'll have a laugh too.

I really hope at least one person gains something positive from my work.  That is any author's greatest hope.  Thank you.
