I thought about "ghost in the machine" for a title but it's well-used, back to Descartes for a definition of soul. I want to use 'cloud' in the title, as in computing and heaven... As for submitting to Watty? For seriously real reasons, I would need an editor to help me craft a good story with this electronic ghost idea. (I don't facebook/tweet)

@Silently I tend to agree. Even Ali said that the beginning 'had legs.' And short stories tend to be overlooked for the Watty's. Not REAL stories with beginnings, middles & ends with a good twist thrown in. Last year's short story winner was a trip down suicide lane- no real conflict- and the twist was that her lover killed himself, too. It wasn't BAD . . . truly it wasn't. But I can see this growing into something amazing.

          As for a title . . .

          Digital Cloud
          Computing the Afterlife
          Digital Haunting
Downloaded Personalities (yuck- no. Maybe not)
          Stalking from the Cloud
Do digital personalities dream of electric sheep (lol Just kidding)

Been thinking of that post- the ghost in the machine? You know, that would be a stellar beginning for something . . . more- short story or novel. It's all set up- right there, at the beginning. And if you decided to lean more towards short story, you could enter it into Watty's. The deadline's Oct 31.

Come on. It's a really original idea. Consider developing it?
