-Nancy Drew by Carolyn Keene (if you haven't read any of the Nancy Drew books, what are you doing?)
-Fly By Night by Francis Hardinge
-All of those books in the Dear America series
-The Bible
-The Missing Series by Margaret Peterson Haddix
-The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
