Originally a painter from Boston, MA, Liza Jay now lives and writes in Providence, RI.
An education in psychoanalysis contributes to their offbeat characters and the circumstances shaping them. Liza's penchant for the paranormal unites readers with the transcendent ability of consciousness; protagonists are frequently confronted by personal shadows while faced with macrocosmic forces.
A member of LitArts RI, Liza has been published by Club Plum Literary Journal (flash non-fiction), 7th Circle Pyrite (short fiction), and Broken Antler Magazine (visual art combined with poetry).
Living with her husband, one corporeal, and two ghost cats (soon to be reincarnated, she hopes) in a small condo brimming with maximalist decor, she sometimes ponders the cosmic nature of showering.
When gardening, she delights in the ruckus of blue jays-enjoys being a wallflower at their parties.
