I am a writer. I have short stories and novel excerpts posted here on Wattpad. I am also the author of the following books:

LONER IN THE GARRET: A WRITER'S COMPANION (nonfiction, 2015): Inspiration and encouragement for writers, charting the ups and downs of the writing life with honesty, gentle suggestions, and a dash of humor.

UNTIL IT HURTS TO STOP (young-adult novel, 2013): Just when Maggie starts believing she can outgrow her history as the local outcast, the girl who once bullied her returns to town.

TRY NOT TO BREATHE (young-adult novel, 2012): In the summer after his suicide attempt, sixteen-year-old Ryan struggles with guilty secrets and befriends a girl who's visiting psychics to try to reach her dead father.

THE SECRET YEAR (young-adult novel, 2010): After his secret girlfriend's death, seventeen-year-old Colt finds the notebook she left behind, but he is unprepared for the truths he discovers about their intense relationship.

My short story, "Confessions and Chocolate Brains," appears in the 2011 anthology TRUTH & DARE. Additional stories have appeared in HUNGER MOUNTAIN and other journals.
