I'm a social researcher by day and a writer by night.

I write to make sense of life or, more often, to cope with the nonsense of it. I love characters and the people who create them.

In the last fifteen years I've earned two degrees, lived in three states, visited nine countries, found my dream job, married the most interesting man in the world, earned the title of mom, and wrote a novel with my sister.

I believe kindness is the greatest virtue.

I grew up in a small town in Michigan and now live just outside of Omaha, Nebraska with my husband and two daughters.

I'm an avid sports and sugar fan.
