so.... I just beat tears of the kingdom and so i'll leave a little review here.
Fun game tbh. It expanded on BotW's gameplay while not being too unfamiliar. Getting to see how Hyrule has changed and grown in the time since the last game was also really fun and engaging. The dungeons were okay at worst and a majority of the bosses were spot-on. Filling out the Depths was an absolute pain that can kiss my ass, though. And so can Fuse. It just wasn't handled well and nerfed almost every weapon from the last game just to be relevant.
The story could've been handled better in terms of actually being told. I guarantee you there is not a single player who somehow managed to find every single tear in the intended order, and with how open the game is, players can easily get lost trying to follow along. And while I will admit that working alongside the Sages (despite how obvious they were) was also pretty fun. But they're still inferior to the Champions in basically every way.
Exploration and combat, once you realize that you basically need to fuse the corpses of every single monster you fight onto your weapon to deal decent damage, is amazing and still blends itself together nicely.
Overall, would recommend. Awesome game. Although personally I still think my repeat playthroughs are going to BotW.
