How could you possibly lose an antique of hundreds of millions worth?" 
          
          "It was placed in a secret vault. Dito mismo sa ilalim ng wood flooring na kinatatayuan ng swivel chair ko." inapak-apakan niya ang sahig, iba nga ang tunog no'n. May laman. "We were gone for almost a month, Vanessa." nagpintig agad ang tenga ko ro'n. 
          
          "So, you're saying na ninakaw ko 'yon?" I scoffed. "If so, hindi niyo na ako makikita ngayon! At sinong tanga ang magnanakaw ng isang bagay na hindi niya naman maibebenta dahil—"
          
          "It wasn't you. It was April." my head went haywire after hearing that from my father. Nanlamig ang mga kamay ko. Hindi ako makahinga. April could be a snake sa pang-aagaw sa boyfriend ko, but she is no thief... right? Hindi magnanakaw ang babaeng kinahumalingan ko.
