Firstly, thank you to my followers & fans - you are the best!
It was my Wattpad Anniversary on the 25th Feb so I gifted everyone 'Tight Spot' - an R-Rated novelette - as this was what most fans requested. Enjoy and thanks for your support over the year!
This year I will be re-writing and epublishing...
- Don't Catch Me!
- The Watchers Wake
- A Knight To Remember
- Tight Spot
These final editions will not be uploaded onto wattpad but I will let you know when they will become available.
AND... I will also write
- Seriously What's Hot?
- The White Guide (2nd in the EON series after The Watchers Wake)
- Won't Catch Me! (3rd in the Dimensioneer Series after DCM! and CCM!)
- I have a whole stack of ideas to write including....
= A space drama written for a graphic novel
= A series for boys - warrior adventure type
= Maybe even another hot and heavy R-rated story...
So stay tuned this is going to be a big year for me!

@CompulsiveWriter Snap! Yep. I totally cringe when I think of the query letters and samples I sent agents and editors all those years ago. But it's part of the process. And they get so many queries they don't remember us -- thankfully *g* I think you'll be in the perfect headspace to edit and rewrite the first manuscript of your series. Nalini Singh (the amazing and totally wonderful author of the Psy Changeling and Guild Hunter series) just gave a workshop on editing at our local RWNZ Chapter meeting last month, and she reiterated what I've heard time and time again: When you're starting out, put your manuscript away for at least a month and start writing something else. Don't be tempted to try and rewrite/edit straight away once you've finished because you're too close to it and you can't "see" the big picture stuff that needs to be done to tighten and improve the story. I used to treat my rewrites as if I'd already gotten a contract and was doing revisions for an editor -- helped a lot when I was working with my small press editor and had to do real rewrites and revisions *g* Have fun!
@MareeAnderson I hear you! I sent the first book I wrote to an agent, by the time she read it I'd written another 3 books and when I reread it I cringed! It was painful! She liked the plot but suggested that it needed rewriting... understatement of the year! Now I keep on putting off rewriting because I know that I still have lots to learn (how long was that piece of string???) . I totally agree with you - I've missed writing so much - I've really noticed how much now that I'm back nose to the keyboard again! Once I've finished this book I'm going to force myself into the world of editing & rewriting and ween myself off shiny and new!
@CompulsiveWriter Oh I hear you about life getting in the way. I was supposed to have this outline done weeks ago but personal stuff conspired against me. But isn't it a huge relief to get back to writing? I crave it like chocolate and caffeine. And I'm totally grumpy and horrible if I don't get my fix. This trilogy is the first three books I ever wrote, waaaay back in 2003/04. So man, was there some major rewriting to do!!! *shudders at the memory* But it really makes you aware of how far you've come tackling old manuscripts -- it's a good thing, no matter how frightening it is re-reading those old words *g*
@MareeAnderson My life got in the way of my writing... but I'm kicked out all the excitment and the stress and I'm back to typing my fingers to the bone again. Congrads on your series and your shiny new story! Sounds great. I'm currently writing the final book in the Don't Catch Me! series and then I have to go back and rewrite them all. I find it amazing how much my writing improves with each book. Which means I tend to have to do a lot of rewriting on those early books! Eventually I'm going to have to find the courage to look into publishing. Good luck with your series. Cheers, Maree
@desire_inspire Working on it now... I hope it doesn't disappoint... Will do my best to get it to you asap! Thanks for your patience and your support. Cheers, Maree
@Mississippi I know, I know! It's been too long for me too! It's really good to be back writing though. I really appreciate your patience and I am now typing my fingers to the bone trying to get this out asap! I will do my best to deserve your praise! Thanks.
Wow, I read Don't Catch Me and Can't Catch Me so long ago... but I remember loving it. When you post Won't Catch Me, I'll probably have to re-read parts of the previous stories. Seriously, it's been like two years. But I'm waiting patiently! You're an awesome writer, and besides, I take forever to write too so I understand :)
Super excited for won't catch me!!
@CompulsiveWriter I've been busy as getting an old trilogy whipped into shape. So now that's done, I'm just starting to outline another shiny new book -- yay! How 'bout you?
@MareeAnderson@1Dlover4evaxox almost forgot to add@DeeJCooper to the list of Kiwi Wattpadians! It's a growing list! And Hi@MareeAnderson! Haven't heard from you for a while! How's the writing going? Cheers, Maree
