Okay, I'm sorry this has taken so long to sort out, but I will explain why I have put the book on hold, and what I am planning to do.
The beginning of the book was rushed, and didn't work as well as I wanted it to, and this was noticed by a few readers. However the pacing, and the character development gets a lot better from chapter 7 onwards.
Part of this is due to the shift in worlds. As such, I have decided to cut the book in two, at the natural progression, and I shall write Athir's story. I am currently planning the scenes out, and am starting to write the first couple of scenes.
I shall be expanding on Athir's backstory, previously only written down in my notes. You will see more of her, and get to know her and her brother better. Hinther will also be getting a few scenes, although there will be very few scenes from the POV of the Gods.
It shall not feature a prologue, and shall cut straight in to Athir's past.
I'm sorry to have kept everyone in the dark for so long, but I hope this is happy news to you all!

Yeah, Akkarin dying was sad, although the way Trudi uses that in the later books... She's truly a great writer :)
I don't think the books are as good as the originals, however I need something to fuel my downtime :p
          I haven't read that series/book, no. What's it about?
And I have read 'Harry Potter', although ages ago. Rowling is a good author, in that she can cater very well to her target audience, however, to me the second read through wasn't as good. The magic wasn't explained enough for my liking, but then, that's just me :p
My favourite book is probably either one of the later Wheel of Time books, or Way of Kings (Brandon Sanderson)
