Catherine Lanigan

Catherine knew she wanted to be a writer when she was only six years old. All through high school, her teachers encouraged her.  As a freshman in college, her Creative Writing Professor told her, "Frankly, Miss Lanigan, your writing stinks!  You'll never earn a dime as a writer. You need to change your major." Crushed, Catherine vowed never to believe in dreams again and didn't write for 14 years.  Encouraged by a journalist to give her talent a try, she sat down and wrote an historical romantic suspense novel set against the beginning of the Great War in 1914. The journalist sent the manuscript to his agent, who signed Catherine on and sold the novel within two months. That was forty published books ago.
