Carlos Cunha

Carlos is a freelance writer, essayist, and gallows humorist. After small tastes of success in traditional publishing venues and enough near misses to break a man's heart, he took a decade long hiatus from speculative writing. 

Carlos is currently hip deep in the next installment of the Coureur des Bois series and furiously pecking away at the keyboard when not distracted by his day job in a heavily fortified compound in an undisclosed location. No, seriously. That last part wasn't a joke. He works in an environment where people literally try to kill him whenever they get the opportunity.

Be forewarned, a career spent in war zones and surrounded by human misery both at home and abroad has given him an appreciation for dark humor and the grotesque that frequently comes to the surface in his writing. Which is to say, Carlos is not always appropriate for polite company.
