@S_Simone_B  He said he picked a winner but hasn't announced who it was. I don't think he plans to. Below is the message he sent out:

            My sincerest apologies for being so late in choosing the “winner” of the Writing Challenge. (You are all winners in my heart for taking the time to apply your creativity to writing such wonderful stories based on the prompt of my illustration.)  I was simply overwhelmed by your response to my Challenge appeal!  I had no idea there would be so many submissions.  And that they would constitute such an incredible word-tapestry of marvelous divergent interpretive visions.  And – of course – I had to read every single one.  Hence my tardiness in making a decision.  The stories were painfully honed down to about two dozen of the submissions – any of which would be a worthy complement to my artwork.  But I had to pick one, and so I did.  I went with my gut and I hope I got it right.  But let me reiterate most emphatically: There were no “losers.”  You are all winners for choosing to be writers and sharing your creativity with the world. I extend to each of you my great thanks and my deep gratitude!
