I have been informed (found out) that Snape/Lupin is a ship, and called 'Snupin'
And can I just say... their love child would definitely be caught... Snupin around.
          	=)

Is there a term for shipping two people but platonicly?
Like, MentorSnape, father figure Snape, older brother Snape.

If there isn't such a term, I suggest something to do with flying, or soaring. Because the fluff that is inherent to familial connections and such just makes you feel like you're flying.
And I mean, shipping is a type of transport, so platonic shipping should be too, it fits the theme.

But saying you fly two people sounds weird.
The best I can think of is if you wing it. But that doesn't make sense either! Winging it doesn't not in anyway bring the same sense of something that shipping it has.

So, the question is; is there a term for platonic shipping? And if not, what do yall think it should be?
This had been bugging me for months.

Ok, I did not know Brotp was a thing, but it is not quite what i was thinking about. It is platonic relationships, but it does not sound right when referring to mentor/father figures.
"My brotp" sounds more like best friends forever, then "this person is my son/father/mentor no matter what or who says otherwise".

You know, no one really seems to consider the fact that Andromeda is a Black, and therefore distantly related to Harry.
Even in stories where the Malfoys get considered guardians suitable for Harry, no one brings up the Tonks', and the fact the also are related.
Perhaps the Potter and Malfoy lines crossed way back somewhere, or even the same of Black and Malfoy, giving the Malfoys a larger relation to Harry, the same could then be said of other purebloods. The Longbottoms. The Weasleys. The Prewits, which, by extension comes back to the Weasleys.
Literally any pureblood family, and probably most of the halfbloods, (even Snape, as a Prince) could claim very very very distant relation of some kind.

But I digress. My point being, for how beloved Tonks is, she and her family get forgotten when Harry's custody comes into question.
Imagine if Harry did get sent to the Tonks's, and he and Nymphadora discover he has the potential to be a metamorphmagus too! They truly become a family to Harry, and it's beautiful, because when little Teddy comes along, both parents agree, Harry is Godfather. Who better then Remus' last link to his friend who was like a brother to him, and the person Tonks views as her own little brother.
And can you imagine the Tonks' coming to the Triwizard last task? And Tonks and Fluer hit it off, and Tonks introduces her to Bill, and they still fall in love, but Molly is less opposed when Bill first brings Fluer around, especially since Tonks has been asking her advice about Lupin being all, 'he's not good enough for her, or really anyone'.
Tonks and Fluer and even Molly bonding!
Molly and Andi both becoming friends because Harry and Ron are friends, and Molly has been looking out for Harry since first year.
Ted just being the loveable guy he is! Probably teaches Harry wood carving or smthn, while Harry actually manages to impress both Andi and Ted with his cooking.
Harry opening up to Ted about everything with the Dursleys.
Just, Harry as a Tonks guys.

It's been a year today since I posted the second chapter of Bound by Soul, so at least a week after the first chapter, which means it has definatly been a year since it was first posted.
I can't believe how many people are reading it, and its sequel, Idiot and the Heir. I haven't given up on either, I'm just bad at writing.

I'm reading a MentorSnape fic, taking place in fifth year, and he just found out about Harry's scar from detention.
And Harry's like, he doesn't really want to tell him.
And my first thought was, 'yeah, he doesn't want to tell Snape, in case he turns it into a Study in Pink!'
And can I just say; that is the best/most out of pocket thought I've ever had.
