Chris de Mercado

I'm Chris, and I originally started writing when I was 8 years old. It started during playtimes where it was too wet to play outside, and I grabbed a sheet of paper, folded it into a miniature book, and scribbled away about all sorts of things, from stories involving my stuffed toys with super powers (mainly Supercat), to completely original Sci-Fi and Fantasy adventures, each spanning several mini-books. They were well recieved by everyone, and really sparked my fascination with writing.

12 Years on, I'm still writing, although mainly fanfiction that I use to practice for the bigger, original things. The fanfiction I write is mainly based on the Sci-Fi and Fantasy genres of the Warhammer universe, created by Games Workshop, however I do dabble in other universes sometimes.

Every now and then I'll come across an old Supercat story, and marvel both at how far I've come--and how many mistakes I made that weren't pointed out; ugh--and how far I've still got left to go. I really hope that my stay here can help me grow as both a writer and an individual, and I look forward to meeting the denizens of the site and hopefully making some new friends.
