Who Am I?

I am everyone.  I am no one.

I live while I die.  And breathe as I choke.  I scream out silence.  I speak for me.  And I speak for the ones who can't.  Or the ones who won't.  I live for me.  And I live for the ones who can't.  But I die as I live.  We all do.

I am the person you saw on the street today.  I am the man without money, a home.  I am the girl with a disease.  The child who won't live to see his 10th birthday.  I'm the woman dying from old age.  I am you. 

I am more rich than the richest man alive.  And poorer than the poorest man in the world.  I am hungry and I am full.  I am both stupid and smart.  Sometimes at the same time.  But I am young and old, wise and dumb.  I am you.

I can hear nothing and everything.  I can see everything and nothing.  I feel nothing.  But I feel everything.  I hear the voices, the silent.  I see the invisible.  And I feel what never existed.  But I am you.

I am the air we all breathe.  The sky I will never touch.  I am the sun and the moon and the stars.  I am the ground you walk on.  The earth you live on.  The universe that will never be explored. 

And in the end, I am you.  But most of all, I am me...
