Hey,
I'm Ash.
I didn't really like writing until about year 10.
I use to think it was boring and annoying. Thats was probably because i wasn't very good at it.
It changed though all because of a new teacher.
I was in english and for once i had a really good teacher.
I don't know what happened but we were told to write a story based on a certain picture.
Well i sat there looking at the picture for about 20 minutes thinking, i've got nothing, i can't think of anything.
Then suddenly i got an idea and my hands are flying over the keys and my mind is so set on what i'm doing i don't realise the time. The bell goes before i get to finish and later when i read over it i realise it was a pretty good story. My first really good one.
I finally finished, and am glad it got me into writing.
After that we had to do a few more stories for english at school.
We had to write a survival story because we were studying the novel 'night' by Elie Weisel.
My teacher wrote a little blurb sort of up on the board and we had to come up with a story based on what she wrote.
I went home that night and wrote for ages.
I did that for quite a few nights before realising that the story was a bit too long for a short story and i hadn't even got to the part that my teacher wrote on the board.
I decided to keep writing it all the same and now it is the first story i have finished.
I ended up writing a smaller story to send to my teacher and she thought it was amazing.

I'm so glad i had to teacher i did, because writing is so fun, and without her i might not have realised just how much fun it can be.
