I was a teacher for thirty years and have recently left the job in order to write full time. I have written three novels - though none, as yet, published - and have been keeping a journal for forty years.

I am an avid reader - and particularly enjoy the works of Terry Pratchett, Tom Sharpe, Pat Conroy and P.G Wodehouse.
Much of what I write - for public consumption, anyway - is humorous in tone, though I have included some more serious pieces.
