Coco has had her mate since she was two years old. In eight months she'll be eighteen and they can finally claim. But the family camping trip goes awry and things happen in no way that she could predict. Their future might not happen and a piece of the past is revisited. Excerpt: "Do you realize that you've never kissed me on the lips. I've known you, had you as my mate since I was two and I've never had a kiss on the lips from you." "I know." "Why not?" "Well when I first wanted too, you were too young, then I made that promise to dad and I was worried that if I kissed you on the lips I'd never be able to stop at just a kiss. The older we got the more I wanted of you and I didn't dare give in for fear I'd go to far." He said taking my hand. Before I could question him more my littlest brother Xavier ran up and held out a little bouquet of wild flowers. "Thank you. These are so pretty." "Coco, will you go swimming with me. No one else wants to go and daddy says I can't go by myself." "Sure. I'll put on my suit. Are you going to wear yours?" I ask him. He shakes his head no. I nod and head for my tent. I come back out to find Timmy has changed into his trunks as well. "Going to go with us?" "Yes. Do you mind?" "Never." He took my hand as we led an already shifted Xavier to the nearby lake to swim. Xavier loved to swim and I loved to watch him have fun. Timmy and Xavier splashed and played while I swam around and helped Xavier learn how to swim under water.
