"You must thank him for this air... as you don't deserve to breathe, and in shame you walk the earth, because you don't deserve to leave. A horseman doesn't sleep because they don't deserve the peace And a horseman never dies because they don't deserve release. His scorn will be their purpose and "His will be done", their creed. Cursed to smite the mortals for their hubris and their greed And when the sinners feel his wrath, they'll beg... they'll pray and kneel But a Horseman feels no mercy because they don't deserve to feel. When the work is finished and the ground is stained with red The horsemen see the shadows and hear the echoes of the dead. They watch the souls depart, to the next world they will go, to claim the rest and solace that horsemen don't deserve to know". After spending countless millennia walking the earth and serving as one of four mitigating filters for the wrath of God, the horseman, War, grows tired of his eternal life. He sets a plan in motion to rid the world of all humans in an effort to permanently complete his duties on earth and perhaps earn his long-awaited death. God has abandoned the planet long ago, and it is up to Pestilence, who has only recently developed a liking for mankind, to traverse a world supernatural wonders and primordial magic, in order to stop his brother from rendering humanity extinct. (A rework of my story holy blight. I added so much stuff that I figure it was easier to add it as a fresh story.)
