A potential novella that's popping around my head. Carina O'Malley receives notice that she's required to travel to the land of the Faeries, Fae'lah, for the first time in her life. She may be an elf, but she's a modern-day, American elf that won't stand to be treated as anything less than an equal, even in the patriarchal world of the Fae. The Fae crown prince's party lifestyle has gotten out of control and the King and Queen decreed that their only grandchild must marry. Marriage is a sacred bond to the Fae and their hope is that he'll settle down with the right woman. Like many things in Fae'lah, the magic of the land itself is involved in the selection of any royal spouse. The potential candidates are slowly weeded out until the land is sure it's chosen the best possible companion.
