When Nina Abbot snuck into a club she never dreamt that it would have been the beginning of a whirlwind holiday romance. Alex Myers is everything she always hoped would be her soul mate. He is gorgeous, smart, sophisicated and fun to be around. The only problem is he thinks she is 18, rather than the 17 she actually is. At 22 this only leaves a 5 year gap between them so Nina decides not to make a big deal out of it.
Alex cannot belive his eyes when Nina turns up in his first class at his first job after graduating. Fate must surely be laughing at him. The first girl he has loved in years and he cannot be with her now that he knows the truth. Making a hasty decision he decides to ignore her, he can't show her any affection and must act as though they have never met. A quick text sent during the lunch break telling her it is over is the last communication he has with her in an effort to get her off his mind.
Nina is devistated at the coldness of who she thought was the love of her life and she begins to sink nto a depression. Before she sinks down too far a new guy transfers to her school and immediatly befriends her, helping her to become her old bubbly self and forget the heartache her holiday love caused.
Ryan Welsh was instantly head over heels with the sad girl he spotted on his first day at his new school. She looked so vulnerable and was filled with the need to be near her and protect her.
Alex watches as Nina and Ryan grow closer and realises he made the wrong decision and has to get her back. But how? It is illegal for him to date a student.
