A Rant About Sonnets

Iambic Pentameter is very hard.

And rhyming is an extremely giant pain

We are writing sonnets like The Bard

For Literature class. It is a strain.

Though this is actually not for school.

I just needed this out of my system.

I am very bored. This is not even cool.

It’s all these limits. Oh, how I hate them.

But it’s a fun challenge, writing sonnets

I am almost getting the hang of it.

And now, with every condition just met.

I can do it for my own enjoyment.

Now, with this ironic rant almost over

I will get back to something other.
