Ashton was killed on May 14th 2010. His murder was never solved.
3 years later He's been put in jail for another murder. He will be serving 30 years with time off for good behavior.
Dylan and Carol never did press charges. He disappeared for a while so the murders of Ashton and Dylan's mother were both written off as unsolved but closed.
Carol adopted Dylan as her own. And they have moved into a small town and live in a small house on a lake. Carol is engaged to a cop, and is pregnant with a brother for Dylan. Carol works at the local hospital as a nurse and is going to night school to get her PhD.
Dylan is finishing up her senior year, and wants to go into Psychology to help kids who have had abusive lives.
