It has got a big heart;
It is my life, not its part:
It is well known for its nature of being gritty;
It is my love, my Mumbai city:
Life here my friend, is quite competitive;
Fortunately, the people here are very creative:
For relatives and neighbours people don't have time;
But still, I believe this city is sublime:
Time in this place, runs so fast;
Without even realisng you get over your past:
One can make here a lot of friends;
Relation with few of them never ends:
Nothing can disrupt people here from going to their work;
Although suffering many hardships, they always continue with a smirk:
Be there a storm or non stop rains;
Lifeline of Mumbai will be its local trains:
When you're at Juhu or Bandra Bandstand;
Life feels complete with your partner holding your hand:
Relations here may be sometimes complicated;
But simple things my dear, are never highly rated:
While some citizens resides in the posh area of Marine drive;
Whereas some, even for their shelters have to strive:
Some of them wear plastic sandals and others shoes of leather;
But during moments of happines, they celebrate altogether:
From Amitabh Bachchan to Sachin Tendulkar;
Each and every person here is a proud Mumbaikar:
For those who haven't visited it yet, I feel pity;
It is my first and last love, my Mumbai city:
