Nothing
There’s nothing here anymore
Nothing that used to be us,
But we were nothing
Yet you’ve left my being sore
All the nights that we whispered
About half forgotten memories
And reoccurring fears
Can only be heard when the winds whimper.
My phone screen lies dark
Waiting for your name to flash
In bright yellow
The absence thereof is maybe a sign – your mark.
There’s nothing here anymore
You’ve become a shadow of my past
Without so much as a reason
You’ve revived a silently waiting war.
