A/n: sadly no lemon for the 69th chapter. But you bet your ass there will be after the story climax. Ha, climax.

You and L were both on edge. You'd been flying all day and starting to run out of locations to look. Misa would be close to the due date soon, you hadn't heard from zephyr or the Kami Zoe the Shinigami in a while.

"Christ I'm gonna need fucking therapy after this" L sighed, flying alongside you.

"Tell me about it... I've never been so stressed" you replied.

"Me too... when this is over you'll take care of my stress right?"

"Oh I'll take care of your stress alright..."

You were getting kind of tired of carrying around weapons and bags and baby supplies but it must be done. It was dark, there was a thick cloud cover, and there was the risk of rain. Not the best time to be flying yet here you were, pressing on as always. To think it had been almost a whole year since light knocked you out and stole the book.

"L... how are we going to break the news to his dad" you asked.

"I don't know. Maybe we should let Misa since it's her kid" L replied.

"I don't doubt the Yagamis would be happy to help Misa since that kid is half of light, thus it's part of the Yagami family... but that's not the part I'm worried about"

"The part about light being sent to the underworld when we catch him"

"Yeah that part. Just the fact one of us involved had to kill him in order for his soul to be taken there...

"Who will kill him?" L asked.

You thought for a moment. Part of you thought leave it to the Kami. The other thought Misa should. But there was an itch telling you L should.

"I think you should" you said.

"Me?"

"He's pestered you for multiple lives. You should be the one to write his name in the death note to put and end to it for good"

"I don't know if I can actually kill someone the way he did... I'm a justice deity..."

"Sometimes death is justice when it comes to things like this..."

He would have to think about it. The baby and death situation would be a hard one to figure out. You'd have to take Misa, Zephyr, the baby, and Lights dad back to Tokyo and explain everything to Lights mum and sister. You'd have to expose the existence of deities, L's identity, the Kira situation and spring the news of them having a grand child that their son abandoned. And on top of all that, tell them Light needs to be killed in order to be taken to the underworld for eternal punishment.

You'd heard from the Kami last time you had a chat that the taskforce were all still trying to wrap their heads around the fact Light was kira. Especially his dad. They'd been sitting up in the aether for months waiting for you to find him. Apparently Matsuda had been eagerly watching through Ls life pond for a while now. He was the first one to find out about you and L.

The boys were still up with Aphrodite and safe. Watari went back to England to act as a window to wammys to make sure nothing happened over there. Luckily, L's precaution wasn't needed. Light hadn't found out about Wammys, at least not yet. But it was better safe than sorry.

"Where's this next place?" L asked.

"Off this main road into the industrial area. It's an abandoned factory with an office building attached to it" you replied.

"We haven't heard from Aphrodite, she's probably still looking for Lights life pond. If we find the building before she does whoever is watching us will tell her right?"

"Yeah, it'll probably be Dionysus"

"Also wha-"

L halted his flight, hovering in midair. You stopped, turning to face him.

"What?" You asked.

"You hear that?"

You stayed silent for a moment, listening for whatever he was hearing. And in the distance you did hear something, it sounded like someone in pain.

"What is that?" He asked.

"Sounds like someone's in pain. I can't see anyone in the ground though"

"Let's get a bit closer to the ground, look around"

Lowing your position in the air, you glided just below cloud level, scanning the ground for wherever the crying was coming from.

"(Y/N)! L!"

You both froze again, looking around for the source of the your names being called.

"GUYS! THE ROOFTOP!"

You turned your gaze to the rooftops, and immediately your attention was caught by someone waving in the distance.

"ZEPHYR!" You called back.

"GUY! COME QUICK"

"Holy shit we found them, hurry!"

You and L zoomed over in the direction, a massive weight lifted off your shoulders knowing you'd finally found them after so long. But the fact zephyr was alone on the roof without Light trying to stop her was a bit concerning. Where was he?

"GUYS YOUR TIMING IS PERFECT!" She called.

As you came to a landing, you noticed the unfamiliar outfit on zephyr that looked a little too small for her. Was that Misa's?

"What's going on? Where's light?" L asked.

"A few days ago he managed to get into the astral realm. We contemplated going out to find you big k can't fly and it was too dangerous for Misa"

"Where is she?"

"... in labour..."

"NOW?" You exclaimed.

Almost as if on cue, that same pained scream from before could be heard from inside.

"(Y/n) you're a love deity you know how to deliver a baby right?" Zephyr asked.

"Well yeah but I've never done it" you replied.

"I have, but I need help. Hurry up we need this baby out quick"

"We don't have time to get her to the highlands?" L asked.

"No, the baby is coming NOW"

"Fuck, good thing Aphrodite gave us this for her..." you said, handing her the basket of baby supplies.

"Oh thank god I was worried this baby would freeze without something to keep it warm. NOW HURRY UP AND HELP ME!"

"Ok. Darling you look for anything Light has left behind that might give us a clue as to where exactly he's heading. Obviously the realms but we have no idea which one" you said.

"Got it"

Running inside, you were about ready to pass out of a fucking stress heart attack. But that heart attack would have to wait because this baby wasn't waiting any longer and Light wasn't exactly stopping to smell the Roses on his journey though the astral realm...
