Chapter 39

When I wake up Elijah is no longer next to me. It makes sense because it is 10 o'clock.
Wow, I've been waking up really late lately.
I get out of bed and grab clothes before taking a shower. After the shower I put on some mascara and loosen my hair. I sprint down to get some more food. I'm coming down and ... Too late. The food is just being put away. Unfortunately. I walk to the kitchen and make a sandwich with jam
(I really like to write that lol) and go for a spin through the pack. Everyone is already up and walking around a bit, it is Sunday after all. When I walk across the market everyone bows to me. "You don't have to bow to me. I'm just your equal." I say. Everyone stands up again, but looks at me. I raise an eyebrow. "You can go on with what you did." They get back to what they are doing. I walk to the large lawn and lie there. I close my eyes and fall asleep from the heat of the sun.

"I think she's sleeping" someone whispers in the distance. I jump up and look around. Nobody. I use my wolf hearing to hear better. A rustle in the grass, a little further away where the grass is about a meter long. It's not wind because that sounds different, I'm sure. I slowly get to my feet and walk towards the forest. I still listen well. Imagine they are kidnappers. I deftly climb a tree and look at where I heard the murmur. I sigh with relief.

There are 4 children. 4 girls, I guess by looking at the length of their hair. They have white blonde, black, red and brown hair. I see smiling.
I jump from the tree and land next to them.
A girl with brown hair to her waist screams and jumps aside. "Relax, it's me." I say to her. She looks at me and her eyes go from shocked to relieved.
"I thought we were going to be kidnapped orz" she sighs. "I thought so too" I confess. Suddenly we all have to laugh.

"Shall We Play Luna?" Asks a girl with cropped white-blond hair. "That's fine" I say to them. The girl takes my hand and pulls me along. Of course I will join, otherwise that will never work. They walk to a playground with a slide, a sandbox, a climbing frame and 5 fungi in a circle. Coincidentally ... They sit on the swings and gesture for me to sit on the fifth fungus, so I do. "Okay, Luna, we have to tell you something." Says the girl with the red hair. "We're not going to play. But we want to ask you something," she whispers. I smile. "You can. And you can call me Amy." They look at each other. "May we ask how you became Luna?"

"So everyone is special, whether you are Luna or Alpha or Omega." I end my story. Aurora, the girl with the white-blonde hair, Samantha, the girl with the red hair, Amanda, the girl with the brown hair, and Lucy, the girl with the black hair, look at me in amazement. "How can they hate you?" Aurora asks in surprise. "They thought I did not belong. But it remains our secret," I say. All four girls nod. "We won't say anything Amy" they say at the same time. I smile. I was just about to say something but was interrupted by Lizzie who arrived running. "Amy !!" I get off the swing and squat down so she can give me a hug. "I missed you Liz" I whisper in her ear. "Me too," she says. "Come" she takes my hand and I walk back to the swings. "May I join us?" Lizzie asks the girls on the swing. "Good" says Samantha. I sit on the swing again and Lizzie sits on my lap. "So what were you talking about?" They look at me. I nod, Lizzie may know.

I take my phone out of my pocket. Quarter past 5. "I think you should go home, it is already a quarter past five." Aurora, Samantha, Amanda and Lucy say goodbye and go home. Lizzie climbs off my lap and looks at me. "Would you like to walk home Amy?" I don't even have to think about that. "Sure, shall we go?" I ask as I reach out to her. She takes my hand and together we walk to her house.

We have been walking for about half an hour and we have another half hour. Lizzie stops walking and looks at me. "Do you want to pick me up?" She asks with a pout. I sigh. "Okay then" I lift her up and put her on my arm. She puts her arms in my neck and I start walking again. "Come quickly Amy!" Mindlinks Sanne. I stop walking and Lizzie gives me a questioning look. "I have to go to the pack house" I say to her. "I'm coming too." She says firmly. I chuckle. She gives me a look that tells me to stop chuckling, so I do. "I'll mindlink your parents for a moment. Okay?" "Okay" She answers.
"Lizzie is with me, I have to stop by the packhouse and bring her back at about 6:30, okay?" I mindlink to Lizzie's dad.  "Okay" He replies. On to the pack house.

"Seriously? I had to come for this? To hear that you saw me with kids?" I ask Arianne irritated. She nods. "Yes, and Elijah said that because you are doing so well, you can start doing Luna tasks."
"OMG! REALLY!" I shout in exitment. "Yes!" She answers. I can't wait, really.
The cook comes over with the food and I go to get Lizzie, who is sitting on the couch in the living room watching SpongeBob. She gets up and follows me into the dining room. I sit down and grab an extra chair next to me for her. She climbs onto the chair and sits up neatly when she sees Elijah. He sits down next to me and raises an eyebrow at me. "I was bringing her home when I had to come home very quickly." I say while looking at Arianne. "Okay then." He says.

Hi guys! Sorry I didnt update for such a long time, but I was quote busy with school. Im also working on a new book in dutch, and that takes quite some work. Maybe I'll translate the new book later. Its another book about werewolfs. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
